We are making a small but noticeable change to the login experience on javamania.coffee. If you place orders through our wholesale portal, here is what you need to know.
What Is Changing
Starting May 15, you will no longer log in with your email address and password. Instead, you will enter your email address and receive a six-digit verification code in your inbox. Enter that code and you are in. No password required.
This is called passwordless authentication, and it is the direction Shopify — the platform our wholesale store runs on — is moving all merchants. We are making the switch now so that we can continue to offer you the full range of account features, including multi-user access for your team.
What Is Not Changing
Everything else stays the same. Your account, your pricing, your order history, your payment method on file, and your assigned contacts all carry over automatically. Nothing needs to be re-entered or re-configured.
What to Expect the First Time You Log In
- Go to javamania.coffee and click the sign-in link
- Enter your email address as usual
- Check your inbox for a six-digit code — it arrives within a minute
- Enter the code to access your account
Sign-in sessions stay active for up to a year, so you will not be prompted frequently.
An Important Note on Shared Inboxes
If multiple people at your organization order through a shared email address, each person will need to request a new code when they log in. If you would prefer each team member to have their own login, we can set that up for you. Just reach out and we will get it sorted.
Questions
If anything does not look right after the switch, contact us directly at info@javamania.com or reply to this post. We are happy to help.
